Our Story

Mbira home is a father-and-son business bringing the handwoven craft of Zimbabwe to homes across the UK. One of us works close to the weavers & artisans along the Zambezi River; the other runs things from London.

Every piece is made entirely by hand - so no two are ever the same. Sourced direct from the artisans who make it, the way it should be.

We work straight with the makers along the Zambezi River. No middlemen means fair pay reaches the people doing the work - the whole reason we started.

What's your minimum order?

Our minimum opening order is £100, with no minimum on reorders. We're happy to work with independents starting small and scale up as you go.

What are your wholesale margins?

Our wholesale prices are set at roughly 50% of RRP, giving you a healthy retail margin across all ranges. Full pricing is in our line sheet, sent on enquiry.

What's the lead time?

We hold stock in the UK, so in-stock orders dispatch quickly - typically within 3 working days. Larger or bespoke orders made to order in Zimbabwe take a little longer, and we'll always confirm timings before you commit.

Do you charge for delivery?

We offer free UK carriage on your first order - so you can try the range with no delivery cost. After that, delivery is free over £500, or charged at cost on smaller orders.

Do you ship outside the UK?
